The Crowded House crew, Steve Timmis and Johnny Woodrow are winging their way back to the UK after their Australian tour.? We had a great time with them over the five or six days they were with us.? My harddrive is in trouble at the moment so I can’t blog too much about it – but will sort things out soon and fill in my photos and musings

Hi Mr Mac,
Good to catch up with what is happening with you and your gospel family, good to hear God is building his church. In terms of how quick church is going, remember God’s intimate soverignty, there have been times in the past when I felt frustrated that we were not yet planting to be a household church, but i can see God’s providence in that now, that it might have been a distraction to the things we have been doing. I’ve been encouraged by this passage in 1 Corinthians recently: “… For in him you have been enriched in every way – in all your speaking and in all your knowledge – because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful”, they didn’t need any of the other things they were chasing to be spiritual or effective. When I take some of my worries to their logical conclusion I am saying that God has left us ill prepared for what he wants us to do which is a load of RUBBISH.
It is actually a Nice Day here, an “i don’t need a coat” day, the first of 2008 in fact. Becs has overcome the psychological hurdle of making soup in a further step towards womanhood, and it tastes nice.
