We have just purchased a new pram. Sophie’s pram was attacked by rats while in storage in our shed, so we needed a new one.? It does not look like this:

But neither does it look like this:

It’s a fairly sensible? three-wheeler.? Everything chilled then.
HOWEVER
The process of buying the pram is another matter. The amount of information is overwhelming, designed to complete freak out over-anxious Gen-X parents.? Today’s pram is more than four (three? – Ed) wheels and a carriage – it is a statement (apparently) about how chic you are as a couple (oh, and how much you care for your baby and stuff like that). Apart from the colours and the tyres (standard novice issues in prams and cars alike) there are myriad safety features along the lines of twin-air bags, ABS braking and Sat-Nav.
